Advanced Regenerative Wellness

Physician-led protocols built on fresh umbilical cord stem cells — prepared for your treatment day and tested lot by lot — to support vitality, mobility and long-term resilience.

The Velar Philosophy

At VELAR, longevity is not the absence of aging — it is the cultivation of internal vitality. By integrating personalized wellness with the science of cellular regeneration, we help time become an ally rather than a force of decline, supporting strength, clarity, and resilience that endures across decades — not seasons.

The Velar
Longevity Journey

At VELAR we start from the premise that no two bodies need the same thing. Effective regeneration begins with genuinely understanding yours — so care is delivered as one integrated three-phase programme, designed to stay precise, safe, and effective over the long term.

Phase 1

Discover & Assess

In-depth diagnostics and health profiling

We begin by getting to know your body at the cellular level — risk screening with Early Cancer Screening (EDIM) and biological-age testing with Epispan. These insights let our physicians read your current physiological state, surface risks that are not yet symptomatic, and design a programme around what your body actually needs.

Phase 2

Restore & Regenerate

Systematic recovery and rebalancing

Our physicians sequence care carefully around your findings. Where risk markers or a high inflammatory burden are present, immune rebalancing with NK & T Cell therapy may be recommended first. Once the body is ready and inflammation has settled, treatment moves on to Fresh Stem Cell therapy to support tissue repair and regeneration at full effect.

Phase 3

Sustain & Optimize

Continuous care for lasting health

The real goal is health that holds over decades. Once the body has recovered, our physicians follow up one-on-one and advise on continued care — replenishing cellular energy with NAD+ therapy or IV Vitamin therapy, alongside lifestyle guidance — so strength and vitality are maintained rather than merely restored.

Redefining Longevity
Through Cellular Science

As we age, worn-out cells build up, the body's energy systems slow, and low-level inflammation becomes constant. Our protocols use clinical-grade Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) — cells studied for the signals they send to surrounding tissue — to support the body's own repair, immune balance and resilience.

Easing Age-Related Inflammation

Ageing cells release inflammatory signals such as IL-6 and TNF-α. MSCs are studied for their ability to calm these signals, which may help protect how tissues function over time.

Supporting Tissue Repair

MSCs release growth factors that support the body's repair of cartilage, tendons and connective tissue — the basis of protocols for joint comfort and mobility.

Balancing the Immune System

MSCs send signals that help immune cells settle an overactive response — an effect studied in chronic inflammatory conditions.

Cultivated Fresh for Every Treatment

Quality and safety sit at the heart of VELAR. Every step — from the selection of ethically donated Wharton's jelly umbilical cord tissue through to the release of the finished, ready-to-administer dose — is documented and verified, so the same medical standard holds at every stage.

Fresh, Never-Frozen Delivery

Cells are cultivated and released for administration on the treatment day — with no cryopreservation and no cryoprotectant (DMSO) — preserving potency and cell viability (>95%), under a fully monitored chain-of-custody.

Ethically Sourced Wharton's Jelly

MSCs are isolated exclusively from healthy, fully screened, full-term umbilical cord donations under strict ethical consent and donor eligibility protocols — with tissue collected and handled under Good Tissue Practice (GTP).

Xeno-Free Cultivation

Cells are cultured without any animal-derived products (such as bovine serum), reducing the risk of cross-species contamination and allergy.

cGMP-Aligned Closed-System Cultivation

Cells expand in validated closed-system bioreactors — limiting the risk of cross-contamination and supporting batch-to-batch consistency.

Quality & Standards

Therapeutic outcomes scale with cellular precision — so every lot is tested before it is released, inside a quality system audited to international standards.

Every Lot, Tested Before Release

Each fresh lot is tested against defined acceptance criteria before it leaves the laboratory. The results are recorded on a Certificate of Analysis issued for that exact lot.

Early Cancer Screening

Early-stage cancer risk screening
A blood test that screens risk across more than 40 solid tumour types using EDIM technology.
What it is

A blood-based test that screens the risk of more than 40 solid tumour types at an early stage using EDIM technology. It requires only 2.7 ml of blood, no fasting, and results are available within 7–10 days. Risk is assessed from the Apo10 and TKTL1 biomarkers and reported on a colour scale (green / yellow / red), so irregularities can be flagged before symptoms appear. It is a risk-screening tool — it does not diagnose cancer, and elevated results are followed up with conventional diagnostic investigation.

Who it's for

Health-conscious individuals who want to monitor risk regularly — particularly those with a family history of cancer or lifestyle-related risk factors.

NK & T Cell Therapy

Immune balance and resilience
Assessment and laboratory expansion of your own NK cells to support proactive immune defence.
What it is

A proactive immune programme that runs from an assessment of how well your immune system is functioning (NK & T Cell Profile) through to taking a sample of your own blood and activating and expanding your NK cells in the laboratory — approximately 2–3 weeks — before returning them to the body, supporting the immune system's readiness against infection and cellular mutation.

Who it's for

People who want to strengthen immune readiness, who feel run down or fall ill frequently, who live with chronic allergies, or who are looking for supportive care while recovering from illness.

NAD+ Therapy

Cellular energy replenishment
NAD+ infusion to support cellular energy, easing chronic fatigue and mental fog.
What it is

NAD+ is a coenzyme central to cellular energy production and DNA repair, and its levels typically decline with age and accumulated stress. Intravenous NAD+ supports the activity of the sirtuin family of longevity-associated genes and of the nervous system; many patients report reduced chronic fatigue and clearer thinking (less brain fog). Three dose levels are available: 100 / 250 / 500 mg.

Who it's for

People carrying accumulated stress or insufficient rest, those with chronic fatigue or brain fog, anyone wanting to support cognitive performance, and those preparing their cells ahead of cell therapy.

Epigenetic Age Testing

Your true cellular age
DNA-level biological age testing with Epispan, developed in collaboration with Harvard researchers.
What it is

A blood test that estimates biological age using Epispan, a technology developed in collaboration with Harvard University. It reads epigenetic markers — the record of change written onto the DNA — to assess whether your cells are older or younger than your chronological age, and to indicate your pace of ageing. It serves as an objective index for tracking the effect of a longevity programme over time.

Who it's for

Anyone drawn to longevity science who wants to understand their body at the DNA level, and who wants a scientific instrument to measure change concretely.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC) therapy, how the stem cells are sourced and tested, treatment safety, and what to expect at VELAR Center in Bangkok.

About the Stem Cells

What is mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy?
Mesenchymal stem cell therapy uses clinical-grade MSCs — multipotent cells studied for their anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and tissue-supporting properties — delivered via intravenous infusion or targeted local injection. At VELAR, MSCs are isolated from ethically sourced Wharton's jelly (umbilical cord tissue), cultivated under cGMP-aligned conditions, and used to support the body's innate repair pathways at the cellular level.
Read the full guide
Fresh or cryopreserved stem cells — why does VELAR deliver fresh?
Cryopreserved stem cells are frozen for storage, usually with a cryoprotectant such as DMSO, then thawed before use; if you are offered frozen cells, ask about the thawing process and viability after thaw. VELAR prepares its stem cells fresh for the treatment day: there is no freeze–thaw step and no DMSO, and viability is measured at release (above 95%). Fresh is not automatically better for every condition — clinical results depend on the evidence for each indication — but it removes those variables from your dose.
Where do VELAR's stem cells come from?
All MSCs come from Wharton's jelly in ethically donated, full-term umbilical cords. Donor screening starts before birth: a health questionnaire and maternal blood tests, including thalassemia screening, then — about a month before delivery — a 15-virus infectious-disease panel and a genetic-disease panel. On delivery day, cord blood is tested again, including chromosome analysis. Cord tissue is collected under Good Tissue Practice. No embryonic or induced pluripotent sources are used.
Read the full guide
Umbilical cord, adipose or bone marrow — how do MSC sources differ?
All three are sources of mesenchymal stem cells. Bone marrow and adipose (fat) MSCs are usually taken from the patient, so they require a harvesting procedure and reflect that person's age and health. Umbilical cord MSCs come from donated birth tissue: collection is non-invasive, the source is abundant, the cells are biologically young, and published comparisons report that they multiply more readily than bone-marrow MSCs. VELAR uses Wharton's jelly umbilical cord MSCs. Which source suits a given condition is still an active area of research.
Read the full guide
Autologous or allogeneic stem cells — what is the difference?
Both terms describe where the stem cells come from. Autologous stem cells are your own, collected from your fat or bone marrow; there is no donor involved, but a harvesting procedure and weeks of culture are needed, and cell quality varies with age and health. Allogeneic stem cells come from a screened donor — at VELAR, mesenchymal stem cells from donated umbilical cord tissue. MSCs are regarded as low in immunogenicity, so donor stem cells can be given without tissue matching and doses can be repeated, and they are prepared in advance to a consistent, tested specification. They rely on rigorous donor screening and release testing, which is why every lot carries its own Certificate of Analysis.
Read the full guide
What is a passage, and why does VELAR use Passage 3–5 stem cells?
Each time stem cells are grown in the laboratory and transferred to a new culture vessel counts as one passage. Very early passages yield too few cells for a consistent dose, while cells expanded through many passages can slow down, change their characteristics and show signs of ageing. VELAR uses early-passage stem cells, Passage 3–5, a range intended to balance cell number with cell quality. Ask any provider for the passage number — the cell count alone does not tell you this.

Quality & Safety

Is stem cell therapy safe?
When delivered with clinical-grade cells under qualified medical supervision, MSC therapy has demonstrated a strong safety profile across thousands of clinical studies worldwide. VELAR's protocols layer multiple safeguards: ISCT-defined identity verification (CD73/CD90/CD105 ≥95%), bacterial and fungal culture, real-time PCR for mycoplasma, HIV, HBV and HCV, and LAL endotoxin testing on every release lot, plus continuous physician monitoring during and after each session.
Read the full guide
What are the side effects of stem cell therapy?
Most clients tolerate MSC infusions well. Common short-term effects in the first 24–48 hours include mild fatigue, low-grade fever, or transient headache — typically self-resolving. Local injections may cause brief soreness at the site. Serious adverse events with our clinical-grade Wharton's jelly MSCs are rare; every session is delivered under continuous physician monitoring with on-site emergency protocols.
Can infused stem cells block small blood vessels?
It is a recognised consideration with any intravenous stem cell therapy: cells that are large or clumped are more likely to lodge in small vessels, particularly in the lungs. That is why cell size is a release criterion at VELAR — the average must fall within 9–12 µm for every lot — and why infusions are given slowly, over 60–90 minutes, under physician monitoring. These measures are designed to reduce the risk; no clinic can truthfully promise it is zero.
What should I check before receiving stem cells?
Ask what the cells are and where they come from, the passage number, the percentage alive at release, and whether they are fresh or frozen. Ask to see the Certificate of Analysis for your own lot, not a sample. At VELAR that certificate records donor screening, identity markers (CD73, CD90, CD105), cell count, viability and size, sterility, mycoplasma, HIV and hepatitis B/C testing, endotoxin, genomic stability and differentiation. Also ask which standards the laboratory holds, and what human evidence exists for your condition.
Read the full guide
Who should NOT receive MSC therapy?
Active malignancy, untreated severe infection, pregnancy, and uncontrolled coagulation disorders are absolute contraindications. Active autoimmune flares, recent organ transplants, and certain cardiovascular conditions require specialist clearance. Our medical review screens for these before any cells are administered — we will tell you clearly if the protocol is not appropriate for your case.
Can I receive treatment with my existing medications?
Most chronic medications — including those for blood pressure, diabetes, and thyroid — are compatible. Immunosuppressants, anticoagulants, certain biologics, and active chemotherapy require pre-protocol review. Bring a complete medication list to your consultation; your physician will adjust the protocol or scheduling accordingly.

Your Treatment

What conditions can MSC therapy help with?
VELAR's protocols are applied across orthopedic concerns (osteoarthritis, joint pain, tendon and ligament injury), autoimmune and inflammatory conditions (rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, multiple sclerosis), longevity and anti-aging programs, post-surgical and sports recovery, chronic systemic inflammation, and aesthetic skin renewal. Each protocol is matched to clinical indication after comprehensive assessment.
How will I know it is working — and what aftercare do you provide?
Outcomes are tracked through a structured panel of biomarkers (e.g. inflammatory markers like IL-6 and TNF-α, condition-specific scores such as ALSFRS-R or HOMA-IR), follow-up imaging where relevant, and patient-reported pain and function scores at 1, 3, and 6 months. International clients receive remote physician follow-up via video, and lab results from your home country can be reviewed in our system.
How long does treatment take and what should I expect?
A typical journey begins with a consultation and bio-marker assessment (1–2 visits), followed by personalized protocol delivery — usually outpatient infusion sessions of 60–90 minutes each. Most clients return to normal activity the same day. Visible and bio-marker improvements are typically measurable within 4–12 weeks, with structured follow-up at the 1, 3, and 6-month milestones.
Will I feel pain or discomfort during treatment?
Intravenous infusions are generally painless beyond the initial cannula placement and feel similar to a routine IV. Most clients use the 60–90 minutes to read or rest. For targeted joint injections, ultrasound-guided technique with local anaesthetic minimises discomfort, and our nursing team checks in with you throughout the session.

Visiting VELAR

Why choose VELAR Center in Bangkok?
VELAR combines a GMP-aligned cell laboratory — operating under ISO 9001:2015, holding ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation and following OECD GLP — with an experienced physician team, all within a discreet clinical setting in central Bangkok. Every dose is traceable end-to-end, every protocol is personalized, and every outcome is measured.
How long is recovery and when can I fly home?
Most clients resume normal activity the same day. We recommend remaining in Bangkok for 24–48 hours after IV infusion for observation, and 3–5 days after intra-articular procedures for follow-up imaging or biomarker checks. Long-haul flights are typically safe 24 hours post-IV; we issue a fitness-to-fly note when relevant.
